from 22 reviewsWas not expecting this quality and craftmanship, well maybe I was. The Arbor fixed blade is great, this folder is fantastic. Highly recommend this knife.
Pre-ordered after seeing at shotshow. Just got it yesterday. I think this is the sharpest knife I had ever gotten new. Plan on running it through the riggers as my edc. Feels great in the hand. Has a serious "robust" feeling to it. I like the smoothness of blade deployment but not so loose that it just "falls" open or closed. Not a lot of content out there yet on this knife. Plan on posting my experience as time goes on.
The Arbor quickly became the favorite among the fixed blades in the collection. The size, weight, balance and craftsmanship are hands down the best you can get. Sharp right out of the box and ready for work, and a sheath that gives that peace of mind that your knife won’t fall out even in the roughest environment.
The fit and finish are second to none. Have not used this knife yet, but will be my main carry this summer.
There is no best knife or blade except the one that meets your specific needs. I needed a bushcraft camp knife that was small and light enough to hike with, camp with, hunt with, able to baton, scrape, feather stick, chop, be tough and easy to sharpen, hold an edge, could do notching but still have a 90 degree spine to scrape bark and fat wood and be used as a striker on a Ferro rod. Also for food prep, and be corrosion resistant. Looking for such a knife was laughable and one would need four different knives to meet these demands. Until now. I just tried the Olive Arbor on all the above tasks and it performed from very good to excellent on each task. These were all the typical activities one is faced with hunting, camping, or long hikes. The fit, quality of materials, and craftsmanship are well worth the price alone but is still far less expensive than having a variety of knives that do each job individually. I still love and will use my specialty knives but that “if I could only have one knife” that is the most versatile, I am grabbing my Olive Arbor. Being able to do the job is the only criteria and the standard of value. It is obvious you met your goals and every box was checked off on my list. Thanks!
I love leather sheath and this one is great. Very comfortable and minimalist. As compact as it can get, and the knife retention is great. Outstanding leather finish with embossed logo.
I’m so HAPPY with the superb quality and laser sharp blade with the AMAZING looking Fibonacci grind is simply STUNNING 🤩 THANK YOU to LuvThemKnives (YouTube) this was an ABSOLUTE AWESOME GAW & THANK YOU Olive Knives I will Cherish this knife for many many years & in case you are wondering the Kydex Sheath is also Awesome and love the nice “CLICK” ensures Safety & Secure fit and the cloth for the belt fit is another great feature . Just not enough words to describe this 1 of a kind Masterpiece of a Fixed Blade - Thanks Mike 👊🏼😜
I received my Olive knife last week. As soon as I picked it up I could feel the quality. It has great balance and is holding a great edge. It is razor sharp. As a professional hunting guide it is great to have a quality every day knife that I can use for everything.
Fantastic knife.
Let me start off by saying that I have a ton of knives, upwards of 200. All different uses and sizes. This knife is the highest quality build and craftsmanship that I own. It seems like it will last a lifetime. Razor sharp, perfectly balanced, and aesthetically phenomenal. I couldn’t think of a better knife to carry!
Just a beautiful and practical design. Very well made, and a perfect size. Super sharp!
Pros:
01) The manufacturing is old-school American craftsmanship. TOP quality.
02) The knife fits the hand like a glove.
03) The G10 scales are Smooth and solid.
04) Has a lanyard hole.
05) Elmax steel! Check!
06) The box it comes in gives an Apple-like product experience: very pleasing to open the box. It opens with a nearly air-tight vacuum with a nice slow opening. Nice accoutrements inside: stickers, manuals, and other information.
07) Premium branding on the top edge of the blade between the scales.
08) Smooth thumb placement on top, no uncomfortable jimping.
09) Beyond the thumb area on top of the blade, it turns into a nice 90 degree cut top edge for easy fire starting with fire steel.
10) The Blade is thick enough for reassurance in use, but thin and nimble enough for more delicate work, with that cool-looking and unique Fibonacci taper.
11) The knife snaps in to the premium Kydex sheath with an audible crisp pristine snap that reminds one of the pleasing sounds of a Rolex bezel.
12) Small sheath drain port. Check!
13) Convex grind - the best do-it-all grind. Check!
14) Razor sharp! Check!
15) Worth every penny.
16) Purchase and delivery were fast!
17) Not too big, not too small. Perfect size.
18) E.D.C capable.
Cons:
1) Seems almost too nice to use, when I have other less nice knives to use.
2) Like a work of art.
3) I want to carry it but not use it because it’s so nicely manufactured. But I know I will get over that eventually.
I WOULD recommend this knife to any knife aficionado. It is simply the nicest knife I’ve ever experienced!
This knife is the Grand Seiko of the fixed blade knife world!
I recently purchased the Arbor knife, and it has exceeded my expectations! The blade is incredibly sharp and holds its edge even after heavy use. The ergonomic handle provides a comfortable grip, making it easy to handle in various conditions. The packaging it came in was high quality and professional, and the sheath is just as professionally crafted as the knife. I highly recommend this for anyone in need of a reliable, versatile knife.
Love my new Arbor. It looks beautiful, It's incredibly sharp, and it is truly rugged. This knife feels perfectly balanced and comfortable in hand. Pictures don't do the blade justice - it is crazy beautiful steel.
My Arbor was the ultimate tool for a remote bush trip. Everything from processing game, cooking, and splitting kindling, my Arbor stayed sharp. The comfort and sturdy design is essential to what it takes to outlive and outlast in a remote environment.
