Olive Knives Limited Lifetime Warranty

What is covered: Olive Knives warrants that each genuine Olive Knives knife will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the knife.
What "lifetime" means: Coverage lasts for the life of the knife, not the life of the owner, and is not limited to the original purchaser. A knife passed down to a family member or gifted stays covered. We may ask for reasonable proof that the knife was originally purchased from Olive Knives or an authorized Olive Knives dealer.
What we will do: If your knife has a covered defect, we will repair it or, if repair is not practical, replace it with the same or a comparable Olive Knives model, at our option. Parts and labor for covered repairs are free, and we pay return shipping to you.
What is not covered:
- Normal wear and tear, including edge dulling, scratches and wear of coatings or finishes
- Rust or corrosion caused by lack of maintenance
- Damage from misuse, abuse, neglect or accidents, including use as a hammer, chisel, pry bar, screwdriver or punch, or throwing the knife
- Knives that have been modified, re-ground or disassembled by anyone other than Olive Knives
- Loss or theft
- Sheaths, which carry a separate 1-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship
How to make a claim:
- Email hello@oliveknives.com with your name, the knife model, a description of the problem and photos. You can also start a request through our Service page.
- Clean the knife of dirt and debris. For the safety of our technicians, knives received in unsanitary condition will be returned without service.
- Package the knife securely in a shipping box so it cannot move, with no loose blades. Do not use padded or paper envelopes. Include the sheath for fixed-blade knives.
- Ship it to: Olive Knives, 41 Copple Crown Road, New Durham, NH 03855. You pay the cost of shipping the knife to us. We recommend a tracked, insured service, because we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit to us.
Typical turnaround is 7-14 days after we receive your knife.
Limits on implied warranties and damages: Any implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this written warranty. Olive Knives is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.
Your rights under state law: This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
Service Outside the Warranty
- Repairs: If your knife is damaged in a way the warranty does not cover, we can assess it and quote a repair fee before doing any work. If it cannot be repaired, we will offer a one-time courtesy discount on a new Olive Knives knife.
- Sharpening: Sharpening and polishing is $15 per knife, including return shipping. Some finishes cannot be refurbished.
- Reassembly: Reassembly of knives disassembled by the owner is $10.
